Subaru Says The New 2024 Forester Is Only Partially Improved
Subaru Corporation only partially upgraded the 2024 Forester compact SUV, according to a recent press release. In the U.S., the 2024 Forester remains unchanged and is a carry-over model with no new upgrades. But more changes are coming next year.
Subaru Corporation says the Forester is its "global strategic vehicle that expresses the robustness of an SUV." The Japanese automaker wants the Forester to elevate its status as the best new compact SUV for safety. The 2024 Japanese-specification Forester gets a new brake assist upgrade when reversing the vehicle.
Subaru improved Forester safety when reversing.
The Forester's warning timing when an obstacle is detected during reversing has been advanced to improve safety performance. When backing up, if a collision is possible, the brake control is performed to support collision avoidance.
The newly upgraded brake assist will bring the vehicle to a stop before hitting an object when reversing, and the driver's rear vision is impaired.
