Jan 19, 2024

Mate Precision Technologies, a developer of metal forming and metalworking solutions, has named Tom Olmscheid as its new vice president for U.S. and Canada sales.

In his new role, Olmscheid will work with the five regional sales managers to support Mate's growth through direct and indirect sales channels for the punch press, press brake, workholding and laser consumable product lines.

Olmscheid brings nearly 30 years of sales and business development results to Mate Precision Technologies. Previously, Olmscheid was director of sales for Aero-Space Fasteners and Electronics, where along with sales responsibilities, he guided the implementation of a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. As director of sales and marketing at Electri-Cord Manufacturing, he established the company's Minnesota-based office before managing their US and International sales.

"Tom [Olmscheid] understands and embraces our values of 'Respect, Support, Inspire' that guide Mate's continued success," said Kevin Nicholson, president of Mate Precision Technologies. "His strategic approach and natural ability to build relationships will help our team support metalworking professionals across US and Canada to advance their business success."

Founded in 1962, Mate manufactures solutions for the metalworking industry. Mate manufactures workholding, CNC punch press tooling and press brake tooling in its 300,000-square-foot facility in Anoka, Minn. It also offers a complete line of laser consumables.
